Mariam Makhniashvili - 9/14/2009 - Toronto, Canada - Remains Found

Mariam is a Toronto teen, missing for just about 1 year now. She went missing on September 14 2009, on school property. Mariam and her brother were about to enter the school but they decided to enter through seperate entrances. They wished each other well and went their own way. While her brother made it to class, Mariam did not.

The police found her backpack/schoolbag a few days after her disappearance, but since then, nothing else has been found. Not a single strand of DNA, evidence or clue.

At the time of Mariams disapperance, she was living in Canada for less than 90 days. Her family recently moved from Georgia (Europe, not the US) to Canada. What we know is that she was a quiet, studious girl.

Do we have the location where the items belonging to Mariam were located?

Mariam's last known location was Monday, Sept. 14, 2009 at 8:30 a.m. in Bathurst Street and Eglinton Avenue in Toronto. This is where her school is located.

Mariam Makhniashvili’s parents will not give up hope that their daughter, who went missing nearly a year ago, will be found.

But the thought that she may not be found alive is increasingly hard to push away, her father says, especially with the news reports of remains found in another missing persons case – the disappearance of Orangeville nurse Sonia Varaschin.

“Our imagination is inclined to think that she’s, at least I think so, that she is probably not alive,” Mariam’s father, Vakhtang Makhniashvili, said, sitting on the couch next to his wife, Lela Tabidze. “This is the hard thing that we always have in our imagination – there are ranges of scenarios and one of them, the worst thing, is that her body is somewhere.”

“That’s why we keep kind of far from discussing anything because sometimes you think and your brain hurts and you sometimes go insane,” said Ms. Tabidze.

Though they have no clues, and no ideas, they still believe that Mariam must have been taken. Whether it’s a case of human trafficking or a “weird person” they don’t know. But the lead investigator in the case, Detective Sergeant Dan Nealon, said there is still no evidence to suggest abduction, or homicide.

“People go missing every day,” Det. Sgt. Nealon said. “They’re missing for their various reasons. Most all missing persons go missing and they leave some sort of clue behind as to how and why they went. And in this situation there is absolutely nothing.”

Father of missing teen remains in custody

The father of missing Toronto teen Mariam Makhniashvili has been remanded in custody on attempted murder charges in an unrelated case, which was put over to Wednesday.

Vakhtang Makhniashvili was charged Thursday after a couple suffered serious but non-life-threatening injuries in a stabbing.

Makhniashvili, 50, appeared in court Friday in an orange jumpsuit to face charges of attempted murder, aggravated assault and failure to comply with bail conditions.

His wife, Leila Tabdize, appeared shocked at Makhniashvili's arrest, saying outside court he was never violent at home.

In the latest charges, Makhniashvili allegedly attacked the same couple who acted as sureties for him after he was charged with a previous stabbing attack.

After the stabbing at 10 Greenwood Ave. in Toronto just before noon Thursday, David and Dolores (Rose) Langer, were taken to St. Michael's Hospital with multiple wounds.

The couple acted as sureties for Makhniashvili after he was charged with another stabbing in May.

David Langer was stabbed in the abdomen, while his wife was stabbed in the arm. Neither is considered to have life-threatening injuries.

Makhniashvili, 50, turned himself in to Toronto police a few minutes after the attack.

Mariam's disappearance unsolved

Mariam has not been seen since September of last year. She left her home for Forest Hill Collegiate Institute with her brother, George, the morning of Sept. 14, 2009. She was 17 years old when she went missing.

The siblings decided to enter the school through different doors, and Mariam has not been seen since. Her backpack was found a few kilometres from the high school on Oct. 8, 2009, in a parking lot in midtown Toronto.

Vakhtang Makhniashvili's arrest Thursday came two days after George returned home after allegedly running away for a day. The two had apparently argued over George's aspiration to be a musician and his father's desire he study mathematics.

The father was also charged in May in connection with the stabbing of a 26-year-old man living across the hall from him at a midtown apartment building.

Makhniashvili faces several charges stemming from that incident, including aggravated assault and assault with a weapon.

He was initially granted bail after the Langers acted as sureties for him, but he was rearrested in June after they withdrew their names as sureties.

He was released into his wife's custody and was under house arrest at the time of the incident Thursday.

I received a comment on a posting about Mariam asking if I had any more clues, I told them I haven't done any third eye stuff for some time now. this morning at 645am I had a dream and started my google search going back over the clues. with remote viewing you get random words and dreams, that dont make any sense. its a puzzle and you have to fit the pieces together.. my heart jumped in my throat and an eerie feeling came over me like i'm being suffocated when I reached my final google find. Freaked me out. Three things are found, a warehouse, a green van that looks like a plymouth and the words georgia, gy, and 684 are all random clues but I found them during my search. here are the novel notes. I'm posting photos of things I've found. Police and detectives please check into these clues to see if they mean anything. Again this is all from a dream. I don't claim to see things but in the past I have found clues to two others - victoria stafford and Jessica Elizabeth LLoyd, my clues came true in both cases.

"This is the first tangible item that we've discovered," Toronto Police Det.-Sgt. Dan Nealon said yesterday of the Thursday-night find.

The bag was found open in a parking lot behind a Roehampton Ave. apartment building, an area it's believed to have been in for at least a couple of weeks.

Calling the find an "important" step forward, Nealon appealed to residents of Yonge and Eglinton to recall whether they spotted Mariam in the weeks following her disappearance.

Sandy Slater thinks she did.

It was around midnight on the Saturday after Mariam vanished that Slater said she saw a girl matching her description walking with a young man along Roehampton toward Yonge.

"I passed two young people speaking Russian. The girl looked just like the pictures. She didn't look like she was being dragged, she was walking with this young guy," Slater said yesterday. "I came in the house, I called 222-TIPS."

Mariam Makhniashvili, 17, was last seen on Monday, September 14, 2009, at 8:30 a.m., in the

Either the most fun or the most terrifying space (depending on how you feel about clowns) in the YYZ Mall is Ulysses Castellanos's Chirajito Clown Painter. The walls are covered in shiny coloured circles and flashes of light from a disco ball. Vintage paintings and figurines of clowns are scattered around, and Castellanos's assumed character is everything you worry about in a clown. In full costume, he is visibly overheated, disheveled, walks with a disconcerting swagger, and his makeup looks like it was applied by the fists of his opponent in a fight.

His demeanour is the opposite. He is at once jovial and thoughtful. The offerings of Chirajito Clown Painter are a selection of vintage records and the chance to have your portrait done as a clown. He won't depict you as a scary clown, "only cute clowns," he promises. During Torontoist's visit to his shop, and subsequent portrait session, the artist had what he believed to be his first shoplifting incident; someone walked off with a two-dollar used record.

Castellanos's shop is surprisingly aligned with contemporary retail models. It's more about creating an experience, and the chance to buy a piece of a that, than the product itself.

YYZ Mall will host 430 square feet of retail space in a mini-mall built within the YYZ gallery.
The Massive Sale @ YYZ Mall residency and exhibition originates from observations about the unique nature of small businesses in Toronto, and the ways in which the individuality and creativity of small business mirrors contemporary artistic strategies. Marman and Borins act as artist-producers, who enable the practice of four chosen groups of artists: Lucia de l'Amour and Ken Ogawa; Ulysses Castellanos; Eric Shinn and Karey Shinn; and Aleks Ognjanovich, as collaborators in the residency and exhibition. The traits of individuality, eccentricity, difference, and humour, which these artists have in abundance, mirror the cultural meshwork that makes independent businesses in Toronto unique, and thus the local urban experience unique. With respect to the four artists groups involved, illustrated is the concept that without the entrepreneurial spirit of small businesses and artists, the city of Toronto would become a monoculture. The four groups of artists have eagerly opted to participate in Massive Sale Mall of 401 Richmond within the premise that if they were asked to open a small store what would it be like, what would it do, or sell? All of the artists have responded in highly individualistic manner.

Marman and Borins through this residency and exhibition engage with the concept of dematerializing and yet broadening the possibilities of the art object through a practice of social interaction with, and the creative participation of, other artists. The artists raise sociological questions about the tensions and power dynamics implicit within social based arts practice. Questions are asked of relational aesthetics, whether it is a post movement, and if so what hybridized strategies can be used to make it relevant? Within the context of a post-relational aesthetics art world, and the significance of the artist-run centre as backdrop for an art exhibition, Massive Sale both defiantly and with complicity responds to the modalities and consequences of the current economic conditions that artists face on a local and national level within the context of funding cuts and a menacing economic climate.

MARMAN AND BORINS have shown work both in Canada and internationally, including exhibitions at: Art Santa Fe, in Santa Fe New Mexico; Galeria Vermelho, and Paco Das Artes, in Sao Paulo Brazil; at the University of Toronto; the Toronto International Art Fair; and the Toronto Sculpture Garden. In the fall of 2007 and winter of 2008 MARMAN AND BORINS showed their sculpture The Presence Meter at the National Gallery of Canada, as part of an exhibition entitled Dots, Pulses, and Loops. In the fall of 2008 MARMAN AND BORINS participated in a group sculpture show at the National Gallery of Canada entitled Caught in the Act. Most recently, they had their first museum level solo show at the Art Gallery of York University in Toronto.

MARMAN AND BORINS have been invited to speak at a number of galleries and institutions, including: the National Gallery of Canada, The Power Plant's Hub-Bub series, the Art Gallery of Ontario, University of Toronto, the Ontario College of Art and Design, York University, and Syracuse University.

Their work is in the collection of the National Gallery of Canada (2008) and they are represented by Georgia Scherman Projects in Toronto.

MARMAN AND BORINS graduated from the Ontario College of Art and Design in 2001. Prior to that, MARMAN received a BA in Philosophy from the University of Western Ontario, and BORINS received a BA in Art History from McGill University.

id give my eye teeth to know what building they found stuff near a ventilation..

in my dream she was wrapped in plastic in between walls at a construction site.

i'd see what floor was being built at the time of her disappearance at anything in the area where the backpack was found or ventilation then take cavader dogs to see if they can smell anything that can give us a clue to her whereabouts.

with the serial killer in canada usa, he puts human remains in three parts in three areas all within 100 km of each other. (if he has anything to do with it, this is just an idea of what may have happened. i hope not)

if she was seen walking with a young man it's possible he's connected in some way to her either leaving with him and running away (her brother ran away and then came back in november 2, 2010.

what if mariam contacted him and wanted to see her brother but didn't want her parents or authorities to know?

The first card that comes here is the Magician and we see here a 'man' who is seemingly representing things that appear and disappear. So Im imagining that this card probably suggests a Male responsible for the disappearance of this girl.

The card is a Number one so therefore perhaps it could be assumed that this male was a 'number one' in the life of this girl.
Whether that indicates a stranger or not it seems that if someone is looming large in the picture then perhaps she knows of this man?

It is also a card of vulgar trickery. We must note that the card previously is the FOOL which shows someone setting out on a journey perhaps even with a 'nagging sensation' that it may not be a wise one - the card following the Magician is the High priestess which is a number 2 card. The High Priestess shows us a scroll and on that scroll some writing. Therefore something significant may be found in this girls text books, or perhaps even some kind of indication of what might have been going on in her life.

This all seems somehow to mix together and may be part of the reason for the disappearance.

I have a ''house' and the colour yellow.

That may mean nothing in itself other than 'cowardice at home' perhaps I cannot be quite sure.

Meanwhile, looking at the Male who has 'life and death' on them it seems the Male or the 'person' responsible regarding the disappearance feels that they are doing the 'right thing' for whatever reason and feel justified in what they did.

There is a 'fresh start' indication on that person so whether its because they themselves wanted a fresh start or whether in fact it is this girl I am not quite sure, except that the person is very direct about what their intentions are.

Some say the Magician is a youthful figure rather than an older person but that can be debateable they often have a lot of desires and they always get their own way no point in arguing with them.

Asking where this girl is currently located I receive this card



At first glance this card makes most people faint. But it is not necessarily a death card - anyway there is no place called DEATH on the Map that I know of - it is in fact a transformation card and it is often linked to Metal - I have sometimes had car break yards linked to this card and quarries - also the horse is moving towards Two Towers there, so who knows maybe New York might have popped up somewhere.

I also have linked this card to Greece. So there is unfortunately a little choice here which does,nt particularly narrow things down but there might be a reason to have to say the options.

The card of Death is almost like a flatlining experience where basically the old life is closed down completely and a new one begins on a different level.

It is a traumatic card though because it is UNEXPECTED and I would have thought that this was unexpected to happen to Mariam. Whether by people around her or her herself.

I dont know if there is any place that could be symbolised by 'three mothers' but I seem to have that attachment here.
This is a number 13 card and this number may have some significance in some way. I also should mention that Scorpio is heavily attached and with the High Priestess being a number 2 card it looks like a female is in on some secret here at least thats the way I would interpret it.

Places with a B name or a J or even persons with those intials could be worth considering.

I am never particularly worried personally about the death card because it comes up quite often and it does,nt always refer to actual demise, that was,nt the question anyway, it was where Mariam was located.

There is no churchyard in this picture, but there is some kind of religious angle here. You can definately see a bishop there with a child and I wonder if this child is,nt involved in some kind of religious dispute or some disagreement . I also have NUN FISH 50 which is a hebrew connection to these tarot cards which also seems to pull out some kind of religious connection too. Fish is religion as is a Nun and what the 50 is I really cannot say.

What might be the problem here is that this girl had an idea how she wanted to live her life and possibly someone else wanted something else. Perhaps it clashed with religious values?



Asking if this girl will be found we have Chariot in reverse.

We have a 'car crash element here'. Thinking about when cars crash and where they go brings me back to the metal element on the death card. Check all places that are car scrapyards or to do with cars or places that have that kind of name in them.

I see that the cavalry is not exactly rushing to find this girl so I wonder if there are some false feeds into this for some reason?

The Chariot is number 7 in reverse, all sevens can be very deceptive. I think if people are looking for this girl they ought to be very 'considerate' about it, as for some reason advancing is to be done in a very delicate way?

I seem to feel that the situation can get out of control very quickly so therefore a more focused view must be taken, probably checking all the facts again about what happened might be a good idea.

I feel as though there is something 'unhealthy' about this situation I feel cars or car are involved here. The Chariot card is a cancer card which is a card of the home - reversed it tells us to look for clues near to home to discover more details of her whereabouts.

i looked around for construction sites because i saw her wrapped in plastic in between walls that were a certain thickness I have to review my notes to find it i was told it's not the usual spacing between walls (thicker concrete to create a sound barrier)

I've read EM's tarot many times. Something recently clicked with me. The high priestess in on a secret is a female authority figure I believe. On rateyourteachers.com students complained about FHCI principal Peggy Aitchison being way to conservative and traditional. One student wrote she needs to teach at a strict Catholic school instead of lecturing students about morals. NUN-FISH,BISHOP- The principal has Mariam hidden away at the Bishop Stratchen boarding school for girls in Toronto. My gut feeling tells me Mariam's school records are no longer at FHCI. JMO.
