Rayna Rison "was kidnapped on March 26, 1993, after leaving a La Porte animal hospital where she worked. She was found in a rural pond. [Found by two fishermen on April 27, 1993] .She died from asphyxiation, probably by drowning, and she might have been involved in a struggle before her death, according to former La Porte County Coroner Barbara Huston. On Saturday, June 10, 2006, Kurt Williams was found in Rock Creek below the Taft Bridge (Connecticut Avenue, NW, over Rock Creek). He was last seen leaving work at 4:30 pm on Friday, June 9, 2006. The Metropolitan Police Department is seeking information from anyone who may have seek or spoken with Mr. Williams between the time he left work and was found dead.

Mesa AZ- police found a man shot to death inside a pickup in 2009 Eric Allen Aucker, 28, of Gilbert.

Detectives have uncovered little information on how or why Aucker was shot. His body was found after his pickup crashed into a brick wall about 4:30 a.m. near Robert's Tire Sales on South Power Road just north of the San Tan Loop 202.
Police would not say where or how many times Aucker was shot.
Detective Steve Berry, a police spokesman, said investigators have learned little else about the incident, including where Aucker had been or how far he drove before crashing into the wall.

Starting thread on behalf of member Phyllis Jean Clark, who has asked for assistance finding the party/parties responsible for the death of her son Deondre.

On August 24, 2011 at 11:38 P.M. police units responded to the area of Sell Drive, Lexington Park in St. Clement's Crossing, Maryland for the report of a motor vehicle striking a tree. Upon police arrival it was determined the operator of the vehicle, Deandre Agustus Hawkins, age 20, of Lexington Park had a gunshot wound in his upper torso. Hawkins was transported to St. Mary’s Hospital where he succumbed to his injuries. The St. Mary’s County Bureau of Criminal Investigations and the St. Mary’s County Sheriff’s Office Accident Reconstruction Team are continuing an investigation into this incident.

Case Notes from Jennifer B (who watched the conference live)

Also they said some things in the live police conference that are not included in the article above. The additional facts are:

1. Police "don't believe the body was there for a very long period of time" before the offduty corrections officer found it "due to evidence found in the area" and based on the snow fall at the time.

2. Police are not sure why he was visiting the area; he was not believed to have family in the area. His family was notified of his death last night and they just said he was up here "visiting".

3. Police do not know if he has children. (in response to a reporter's question)

4. This was a rural area with perhaps two houses nearby so police feel it is likely that the officer who found him there was the first car to drive down that road since it happened (then police noted that "this was a Saturday night into Sunday morning").

5. Police noted that the off duty corrections officer, whose name was not given due to being unsure whether he wanted to be publicly identified, "lives very nearby".

6. Police said that "the way he was killed" made it clear that it was a homicide.

7. Police said that there were "indications" that there was "more than a couple of people there" (on the scene where the body was discovered) - (in response to a reporter asking whether police thought more than one person was involved in the homicide)

8. Police say they "do not have any leads at this time" and say the local drug enforcement task force and detectives are all working together. When asked why DEA the spokesperson said that the detectives work together "in a pool" and this is just who is working the case.

Carina Saunders case: A disturbing murder

Carina B. Saunders was 19 years old on September 28th of this year. That’s the last day any of her family saw her. Carina had been staying with her 22-year-old cousin, Kathryn Jo Bloodworth up until that point. On October 10th both Bloodworth and Carina’s mother contacted the Oklahoma City police department and reported Carina missing. On October 10th Carina’s mother told OKC police she was terrified something had happened to her daughter. Carina’s mother was right, but at that time she didn’t realize just how terrified she should be....

...On October 13th animal welfare workers who manage a feral cat colony in a field located behind a Homeland grocery store at NW 23rd and Rockwell found a duffle bag. The workers contacted police. A responding officer began to unzip the bag and quickly stopped…the bag contained a human body. The body had been there at least 2 days, and would later be identified through dental records to be that of 19-year-old Carina Saunders..."

An update on the Carina Saunders homicide case was given Friday by Bethany, OK, police, who said they have no specific people of interest.

"Police Detective Angelo Orefice said police have interviewed between 50 and 60 people since Carina Saunders' body was found Oct. 13. Detectives said some are friends of Saunders who dabble in drugs, are known only by their street names and do not have permanent jobs, homes or telephones.

Orifice said Saunders, a 2010 graduate of Mustang High School, was known to use methamphetamine, marijuana and Ecstasy. Police have been unable to determine whether she had a job or where she was living at the time of her death."

Man Charged in Attack that Killed 1, Injured 1

LAVONIA, GA (FOX Carolina) - Lavonia police arrested a man Friday night in connection with what police called a savage attack that left a man dead and his wife severely injured.

The attack happened at their home on Bartson Street on Thursday night.

Franklin County Sheriff Stevie Thomas said one of the victims, Jack Vaughn, was flown to Greenville Memorial Hospital, where he later died.

He said his wife, Dot Vaughn, was taken by ambulance to a local hospital and was being treated for her injuries.

Carlisle said investigators believe the suspect, identified as Caleb Fielding, knew the area, but they do not know if he knew the Vaughns.

Fielding was interviewed by authorities after the attack. He was charged with murder, armed robbery and providing false information.

This is the first murder in Lavonia since 2003, according to Carlisle. He said that murder was drug-related. He said this is the first unprovoked attack that he can remember.

A neighbor told FOX Carolina that she heard Dot Vaughn calling for help, went outside and found the woman beaten and crawling from her house. She said Dot Vaughn asked her to check on her husband. She said she found him severely beaten and unconscious.

According to the neighbor, Dot Vaughn repeated, "He wanted our pain pills," several times.

Ouellette, a fifteen-year-old female from Saco, was found lying in the middle of Pine Point Road in Scarborough, by passing motorists on 02-10-99 at 0357 hours. Ouellette was last seen alive at approximately 0200 hours at a residence in Saco. She was allowed to spend the night there, however, by morning Ashley had disappeared from the residence. Ouellette was not seen again until found in the road.
