Missing Man’s Body Found in Fridley Pond

FRIDLEY, Minn. - Police found a body floating in a pond Friday morning near the apartment building a missing Minneapolis man was last seen. Adam James Zaccardi, 32, was last seen on Friday, Sept. 3 in the parking lot of the Springbrook Apartments, adjacent to the Springbrook Nature Center. Fridley and Coon Rapids police, the Anoka County sheriff’s office and a Minnesota State Patrol helicopter searched the nature center on Thursday, but found nothing. Friday morning, a body was found in a pond at the nature center. Fridley police tentatively identified the body as Zaccardi. It's too early to tell if foul play was involved in his disappearance or death.
