Human remains found in Anaham Meadow

Police have found what they believe to be human remains in the Anaham Meadow, about five kilometres northeast of Alexis Creek. A local resident was haying in the area Sept. 2 when he made the discovery and alerted Alexis Creek RCMP. The RCMP says the remains appear to be and are being treated as human. No evidence of foul play is expected at this time. On May 5, Dickson James Alphonse was reported missing to Alexis Creek RCMP. The ATV he was riding was later located near the Anaham Meadow. Police will look at the Alphonse case and the possibility that the remains located are those of the missing man. Police have dental records and a comparison, if possible, will be made in the near future to determine if there is a match.
