CORPUS CHRISTI - - Police need your help learning more about 53-year-old Vanessa Rodriguez. She was last seen in June but her medical ID card was found near human remains discovered in Flour Bluff this weekend. The medical examiner will x-ray the bones, which were found in a thick area of brush near Walmart and compare them to Rodriguez's records. In the meantime detectives want to learn more about her. Though the bones may not be hers, right now she's nowhere to be found. Her ex-husband first learned of the discovery of the bones and her ID card after watching our newscast a few days ago. After calling the newsroom, he called authorities. He reports they divorced in June, she moved out of their house, and that's the last time her saw her. According to detectives, right after her divorce she started living on the streets. Only a few bones which police say had been there for sometime were found near Rodriguez's ID card. The bones were bleached by the sun which will make it hard to determine an exact cause of death. At this time, police do not suspect foul play. Rodriguez's son, who is in the military and lives in Virgina, and her sister have been notified. Police say they are now helping in the investigation. Police are most interested in finding the last person who may have last seen Rodriguez. If you have any information call Crimestoppers at 888-TIPS.
