INDIANAPOLIS -- Police are investigating the death of a man whose body was found Tuesday morning at a park on Indianapolis' northwest side.
Investigators said the body was badly decomposed. The discovery was made at about 10 a.m. near Rader Street, just north of Interstate 65.
Police think the body could be that of a 42-year-old man who was reported missing on Aug. 17.

Investigators said the body was found about 20 feet from a playground after some workers who were in the area to trim trees noticed a foul odor.
Police said $50 and identification was found on the body. The man was a known drug addict, police said, and may have been at the park for that purpose.
Officials said they don't know what led to the man's death.

INDIANAPOLIS -- Police and family members are searching for a man who has been missing for more than a week.
Michael Summers, 44, was last seen on Aug. 20 at Bryant's Friendly Inn Tavern in the 1700 block of South East Street, Indianapolis police said.
Police asked the public for help after family members said he missed his mother's birthday on Sunday and that it was not normal for him to be gone for an extended period without telling anyone.
